Tween: 5 Things to Help You Prepare For a Photoshoot
Good preparation is key to a good shoot day, from arriving on time to making sure your nails are perfectly clean and polished. Whether you’re a seasoned pro in front of the camera or it is your first photo shoot, we have some tips below to ensure a smooth enjoyable (stress-free) shoot day.
Know everything about the shoot
Sit down with your mum and dad and talk about the upcoming photo shoot, what you will be doing, what to expect, who will be there, what kind of photos we’ll be taking etc. You will have a brief or call sheet so run through that in detail to assure nothing is missed.
Clean hair, clean and polished nails
Your presentation is key for shoot day so make sure your hair is freshly washed and your nails are perfectly polished. This is a great blank canvas for any hair & makeup team on the day.
Drink lots of water
Hydrated skin is essential all year round and especially helpful when in front of the camera and bright lights whilst on a shoot. Ensure you are drinking lots of water leading up to the shoot as well as during, it’s the best thing you can do for your energy levels and your health!
Be on time
You know what, arrive early! Make sure you know where you are going for the shoot and have all your shoot day essentials ready to go the night before.
Bring your favourite healthy snacks
Most photoshoots will have catering for you to snack on during the day, but we always love bringing our own favourite snacks. Raw treats, fruit & nuts are always in our shoot day bag.
Last but not least (probably the most important) is to relax!
